The ladies at The Bloom Forum are at it again this week with the Project 52 blog-circle. I can’t wait to see what everyone else has planned for this week’s prompt, Rainbows. As always remember to follow the link to the next photographers blog at the bottom of my post.
For all you Whole Foodie healthy eaters out there, this blog post might not be for you. Just warning ya!
I’ve looked forward to this prompt for weeks as the opportunity to surprise my kids with a little piece of my childhood. I don’t know about you but, I loved Winchell’s Donuts as a kid. I remember it was a big treat to pick up a dozen donuts after church. I think you could buy a dozen for something like $3.20, not sure why that has stuck with me for so many years. Even as I grew older, like graduate school older, I would grab a donut (you’ll see my fav below) after church and think to myself, “Wow, I enjoy this as much as I did when I was 10″. Granted, I’ve learned a bit of self control and try to only have one. My all time fav donuts are…drum roll please. You guessed it! Rainbow sprinkles donuts!
My kids were a bit perplexed when I gave them their little piece of heaven. Noah held it up to me and said, “Can I really eat this Mommy?” And then proceeded to devour without haste!
Nicole ate her donut much like she does cupcakes and only ate the frosting and sprinkles, but not much else.
Any my husband, well he was done with me taking pictures, and knew the only way to get me to set my camera down was to take a bite out of MY donut! The nerve, but his ploy worked! You can tell he is taunting me in this photograph!
Now, take a moment to enjoy the photographic talent of Melissa Deakin |Williamsville, NY Child Photographer and her take on this week’s theme.
