Fifty-two on Fridays | Reflection

Every week I am amazed how far along our little Project 52 blog circle has come. We are on week 39, and we are still churning out some seriously creative interpretations of each week’s theme. If this is your first time visiting my blog, stay awhile, check out some of my favorite posts like old, delicate, and headshots. The women in this circle or super talented, so don’t forget that at the bottom of my post you can link to the next photographer in the circle and view how she interpreted this weeks theme.

This week our theme is {Reflection}. I immediately thought about how children are often a reflection of their parents, their friends, their siblings. My photograph this week is a reflection, but it is also much more. My daughter and my niece, together. I am thankful that these two will always have each other, even though they are years apart. I look at the reflection of my niece and I see a young lady who is gracious and patient with her much younger cousin. And I look at my daughters reflection, and I know she is watching her older cousin, imitating, and learning from her. I cherish photos like these, because I believe that it is in the simple moments with family that help to shape us as people.
