Me and Mine | San Francisco Bay Area Family Photographer | Project 26

Can you believe that February is already here? I can’t, but it makes me super excited because I know that Spring is only around the corner. Yay!! As I write today’s post I am thinking of my little girl who is enjoying a day at preschool with her friends. I asked her last night if she missed me when she was at school and she answered, “No”. What??? Her answer made me realize that she is growing up, she is making friends, that I am no longer the center of her universe, even though in my eyes she is still my baby, my little girl. Realizing that my baby is growing up make me even more thankful for my Me and Mine posts. I want to be in pictures wrapping my arms around my kids, so that they can look back and know how much I love them. I am sharing this Me and Mine project with some amazingly talented photographers, and at the end of my post you can follow the link to the next photographer in the circle. I can’t wait to see all of their bright shiny happy faces alongside the loves in their lives.

I have to say that I getting a picture with my loves this month was challenging. Either I wasn’t happy with the photo, or the kiddos just weren’t feelin’ it! At one point I considered just taking a picture of myself holding a cup of coffee, I LOVE coffee, it would count right? Thankfully, my husband agreed to pushing the shutter button a few more times, as well as corral the natives to get this series.

This is how it started out, a photo with my oldest. Man I love this little boy! Mind you my youngest is in the house having a tantrum because no one is there to help her put on her crocs (she can put her crocs on all by herself!)

She has found her crocs and is yelling now for her brother, no one can make him smile like his sister can!

Here she comes, full speed down the hill in her pink crocs (which she got on by herself)

I got lucky and my husband got got one shot with me and both of my loves.

And this is how it ends, a photo of me and my baby girl.

Now, the fun part! You can head on over and see my friend Shea Parker | Clinton Mississippi Family and Child Photographer and her adorable family!

it’s so hard getting a shot WITH the kids. In fact, it’s so hard that without these little challenges we prob wouldn’t do it very often. Your kids will treasure these!
