Album Cover | San Francisco Child Photographer | Project 26

Welcome back to my Project 26. I am lucky enough to share this project with some pretty amazing and talented photographers. Every couple of weeks we stretch our creative sides and interpret a theme or prompt in a picture(s). This time around our prompt is Album Cover. Last year when I did this theme, John Mayer’s Album Heavier Things was my source of inspiration. This year, my inspiration is Jack Johnson’s album In Between Dreams.
Jack Johnson is one of our most favorite artists in our house. He sings of his family, his friends, his experiences, mostly the good time, some funny, some sad. My family particularly enjoys this album. But, really, the album title is what really inspired me…In Between Dreams.

Dreams are important. Especially when we are young. When I thought about this album title, I thought of my little boy and asked him what he dreamed of becoming one day, what he dreamed of doing most. His answered changed over the course of minutes, hours, days. And you know what, that is how it should be. He has BIG FANTASTICAL DREAMS.  He has the kind of dreams that a little boy should have!  I love it!

Right now, my dream for my little boy is selfish.  My dream for him, is that I would be the kind of mom that makes is possible for my him to be who he want to be, to encourage him to find his own voice and own independence and to follow his dreams because they are his dreams.

This week, joining me on this creative journey my friend Melissa Deakin | Buffalo NY Family Photographer. I love her work and I especially can’t wait to see what she has posted for us today!
