Flower Girl on Film

I love shooting film and I particularly love the fact that my children indulge their mother and her passions.
Why do I shoot film? This is a question that I’ve thought about for a couple of months now. Why do I get excited when I discover another film photographer whose work I fall in love with? Why does the light in a film photograph make my heart flutter. My answers are emerging from within me, slowly formed with each frame that I produce. Most simply, I feel more connected to the processes of photography when I am shooting film. I am inspired to let each frame be its own instead of taking 15 images in 5 seconds of the same scene with my digital gear. I’m more authentic and more true to my work when I pick up my film camera. More answers are coming, they just aren’t fully formed or ready to share yet.

But this simple session is ready to share. My sweet girl who loves to pick flowers. And light. Beautiful spring light that wraps around her sweet face.
Just this for now.
