Have you ever walked down a familiar street and looked through a window of a shop you’ve never noticed before and said, “Now that looks like my kinda shop!” Well, just that very situation happened to me a couple of weeks ago.  I passed by this sweets shop while running errands one weekend, looked through the window, and decided…yes I will be coming back!  The shop is called Sweet Orchid, and it is located on B-Street in Downtown San Mateo.  This past weekend was full of bright warm sunshine and so Nate and I decided to try out this little shop.  As you can tell we picked the seat right in front of the window. My kids devouring their gelato was entertainment for several passerbys.  The sweets were delicious, the espressos hit the spot, the people watching was too funny, and it was a wonderful afternoon adventure.  We will definitely be coming back!
