Senior Portraits and Film.
An undeniably lovely combination.

Are you looking for natural, beautiful, senior portraits that are extraordinary compared to the standard senior portraits? This Fall, I am offering custom Teen and High School Senior Portraits. My Senior Portrait Experience is unique, in that I exclusively shoot these sessions on film. Shooting on film adds a layer of timeless beauty that will never be trendy or dated. All photo shoots are on-location, use only natural light and focus on what makes you unique, beautiful, and ready to take on your Senior year. High School Senior Portraits – The last bit from the Bloomin in Santa Cruz Meet Up

My summer has been busy and it was months ago that I was able to meet up with some lovely ladies from The Bloom Forum. At the meet up we had some terrific and lovely teen models that were up for anything, including tutus and high jumps in an alley way! I love how wonderful our models were and open to letting 20+ photographers capture them from every angle. I absolutely adore photographing teens and seniors! It is so much fun to work with their interests and personalities so that the final photographs really represent who they are in that time in their lives. None of that super posed, cap and gown, holding a fake diploma stuff here!

High School Senior Photographer SF Bay Area Peninsula | Fifty-two on Fridays {SOOC} |

I am back this week with a group of ladies from The Bloom Forum and our Project 52 Blog Circle. Each week 17 different photographers from around the globe are encouraged to think creatively to interpret a theme or prompt. We post our photographic interpretation as part of blog-circle. If you would like to catch up on previous weeks theme, check out Vintage, Rainbows, Mother Nature for starters. At the end of my post, link to the next photographer in the blog-circle to catch a glimpse of her interpretation of the theme. This circle is pure eye candy with loads of soulful interpretations.

This week our group theme was SOOC, or otherwise know to photographers as “Straight Out Of Camera”. This theme shouldn’t be hard for any of us, since any picture has a a SOOC rendered image. SOOC shots can speak of the vision that the photographer had when the image was taken. Most photographers spend some time in the digitial darkroom with the SOOC capture, honing the image to the photographers final image. The thing about SOOC images, is that the better the quality (i.e. exposure, light, composition) SOOC, the easier it is to bring a vision to life in the digital darkroom.

For my SOOC shot today, I chose an image from a recent “Bloom Forum” meet up in Santa Cruz, CA. This lovely teen showed us some serious high jumps during her session. And, of course I couldn’t resist showing you the final processed image.
