Today is the last day of my 2012 project 26. I’ve shared this journey with some very amazing, talented, and kind-hearted women. Each of us has had our own journey through this project and I am proud to be able to call each of these women friends. I have loved seeing each of their families with the Me and Mine post each month as well as being able to see their creative visions with the themed projects. For our very last project of 2012, it is themed “Last Day”.
While initially I thought I might try to share what I would do or say if it was my Last Day here on this earth I just couldn’t go “there” with the recent tragedy that happened last week in our nation. When I was thinking in the shower what I would write I was literally brought to my knees in tears, overcome with the loss of words, overcome with such deep emotion of what I would say and do with my children, my husband, and my family on my last day. All of it was too much to share in a blog post.
So instead, in the last remaining days of 2012 I plan to share a snapshot of my family’s year. A collection of film images, 2 from each month. I’m choosing each of them specifically for the stories I will share with my family or the memory I want to recall from this past year. I picture in my mind the four of us cuddled up on my bed, flipping through images, laughing, recalling this or that. These are fragments of my year that mean something to me and to my family. I had a hard time narrowing this first set of 24 film images and there will be lots more that I am looking forward to sharing in the last couple of days of this year.
Sharing in this project this week, is my friend Celeste Jone | Wilmington Delaware Photographer. Please continue on to her post and the other in this weeks circle.
